I think my prayers were answered!
For the first time in my theatre involvement, I got my big break to perform on an overseas soil - my first theatre performance at Dewan Bahasa & Pustaka (DBP) Auditorium. The history in the making was on 28 April 2012. (My first theatre involvement, ironically, was in April too - 17 April 1997 at Victoria Theatre!) A month earlier, I have gotten a call from Roslan Daud of Teater Artistik, asking me if I would be interested to perform "Bicara". After checking my schedule, I agreed. Fast forward a month later, I was on a bus trip to KL. While the rest of the team flew there, I decided to take a bus and enjoy the 5-hour journey up north while watching movies and eating tidbits. My way of unwinding! At the auditorium, it was my second visit there. The first was some 6 years ago when I watched the first stageplay at the venue - "Wangi Jadi Saksi". The show was organised as part of DBP Auditorium opening ceremnoy. And 6 years later, I was back, this time as a performer! Overall, it was an awesome experience! Comments are closed.
